Motorsport is a notoriously expensive and elitist pursuit - even in the rental karting space. Kit is expensive, races are expensive and sponsorship is difficult to secure. This creates very real financial barriers to entry for most ordinary families and prevents talented drivers, like ours, from developing their full potential.
We have a shared belief that grassroots motorsport should be more inclusive and accessible. For us, karting is more than a sport. Through participation we’re building friendships, confidence, and a sense of belonging that we’ve struggled to find elsewhere. These are vital life skills that are helping our teens grow into young adults.
Each of our drivers has been honing their skills on track for the last 3 or so years and they're all ambitious about a future in motorsport - but sadly they can't get there through ambition alone. Success is built on seat time and support. Participating in high profile events like the 24 Hour race at Daytona will be key in helping our lads to follow their passion and progress their skills.
Funding will be used to cover the cost of race entry and pre-event practice, meaning that none of our team are disadvantaged and they can all get the boost they need to prepare for this big challenge and take the next step in their driving careers.

I am 11 yrs old with ADHD and Autism currently in advanced cadet at teamsport Nottingham academy in the top % of my class , obtaining regular wins and pole position and fastest lap which as allowed me to move on to the BIKC, grid series championship and race league within teamsport to which I am presently competing all this has been within my first 2 years . I am now looking to move forward to outdoor karting which is my natural progression. The funding will go towards tuition, entry costs for competing in outdoor competitions and the required safety gear needed to move on . My name is Matthew, I’ve recently turned 16 and I’m attempting to make my racing dreams come true.
So far in my karting career, I have won 20+ races and have had 40+ podiums indoors, I’ve been the fastest in all sessions at the xkart scholarship, consisting of 50 drivers selected from 150+ entrants, and I’ve spent a year national racing, honing my skills ready for this season.
This season, I have chosen to race in the endurance prokart series at clay pigeon raceway and my pace is right at the front of the field! Unfortunately, I will struggle to afford to keep up with new tyres every round as allowed in the regulations, despite me running a mechanic business for other karting drivers on my own and with teams this year. Your funding would hugely benefit me, putting me in a position to become the overall champion this year!

I am an 18-year-old karting driver with eight years of racing experience and a clear ambition to progress into professional motorsport, either in single-seater or GT racing. Since the age of 14, I have competed as an owner-driver, funding my career through the support of my father from a low-income background. Despite limited financial resources, I have consistently demonstrated strong results and race-winning pace.
I have achieved significant success at club level, winning multiple races in both Junior and Senior Rotax categories. These results were achieved while running older equipment and with limited testing compared to my competitors. In many cases, I was competing against drivers with extensive testing programmes, new engines, fresh tyres every session, and full-time mechanical support, advantages I have never had. Despite this, I regularly secured podiums and race wins, proving my adaptability, racecraft, and natural speed.
For the 2026 season, competing at national level is a critical requirement for my career progression. I aim to race competitively in the Super One Series with Omega Karting Team: a platform where strong performances can lead directly to long-term sponsorship opportunities and progression into higher levels of motorsport. Progression into professional motorsport cannot occur through club-level racing alone. Without competing and succeeding at national level, any pathway toward becoming a professional racing driver ends here. The Super One Series provides the level of competition, exposure, and credibility required to move forward. However, without sufficient funding, competing at the required level and attending every round is impossible.
Karting at national level is a highly competitive and expensive environment. Many drivers are able to practice weekly, arrive at circuits fully prepared, and run the latest equipment throughout the season. Due to funding limitations, I am often unable to practice regularly. As a result, race weekends frequently involve learning circuits from scratch while my competitors already have extensive experience. There have been several occasions where planned test days were cancelled due to lack of funding, and I continue to race on worn or outdated equipment, which significantly limits performance and puts me at a disadvantage.
Even with these constraints, I consistently perform strongly. I adapt quickly to new circuits, build pace rapidly, and compete at the front despite the disadvantages. This season, I competed in a preparation race ahead of the Super One Series at a circuit I had never driven before, while most competitors had previous experience. During Saturday practice, I was immediately competitive and able to match the majority of the field. Unfortunately, Sunday racing was cancelled due to weather, but the weekend reinforced my confidence that I can compete successfully at national level.
To perform at my full potential in the Super One Series and maximise the opportunity to secure long-term sponsorship, regular testing is essential. Ideally, I need to be practicing weekly, or at minimum every two weeks. Funding from Angel Funding would be used efficiently and directly to support performance-critical costs
